How can fashion change the future of our country?

September 7, 2018

Since 2012 we have hosted South Africa's most unique fashion-forward platform by using every bit of attention we got for our rising runway stars and entrepreneurs to highlight some kind of social issue that needs attention. As we approach the seventh edition of the Creative Angels Fashion Benefit, we welcome the Helderberg Child Welfare branch into our audience for a very special experience that only fashion can provide. Will you be there to make history with us, and with the future leaders of our nation?

We're honoured to have two young dreamers and beneficiaries of the HCW accompany Senior Counsellor, Elsie, to our life-changing event at One&Only Cape Town, where their favourite stars often frequent for a quick getaway from celeb life (Angeline Jolie, Mariah Carey & Clint Eastwood to name a few). We wanted to make this experience a true opportunity for the young beneficiaries to discover what possibilities can arise out of staying true to their values, and passion, even if it's a non-traditional creative career like performing arts. We called a little Angel convention and these are the heroes stepping forward to transform two young lives forever:

Blush Make-Up Artistry was the first to step forward to sponsor a voucher for these future leaders to have a little make-over on show day. Teenage girls across South Africa dream of having their hair and make-up done, looking and feeling special and attending a splendid event in the company of other great South Africans and Kendra Miller, Founder & Owner of Blush Make-Up Artistry, stepped forward to transform those dreams into reality. To help Kendra do the same for more young South Africans, you can book her for hair and make-up for special occasions and corporate events. Simply click here to send us a message with your dates and we'll let you know if Kendra's available!

Eclectic Khoi, one of the most authentic local fashion brands you will see on our runway, stepped up to sponsor time and skills to hand-crafting individual looks for both of our young HCW beneficiaries - how awesome is that! Designer, Melory Beziek, uses earthy tones and natural fibres to connect modern day South African living with Khoi heritage and culture. By going the extra mile to build a fashion experience unlike any other, alongside our our joint donation of the individually made outfits to the young beneficiaries, Melory is creating a memory that will last a lifetime, and that's all it takes to change the course of history. Imagine what we could do if we could reach more children! Book your VIP tickets before they're all gone so you can get up close and personal with the brands that are building brighter futures for generations to come.
