Where to find skilled and reliable make-up artists this holiday season
Kim-Lynne Fredericks and Bahiya Lukie are two of the most talented beauty stylists we've had the blessing of working with, both in studio and on site at our CAFB 2019 Rainbow Nation Fashion Show. We want to highlight these two ladies and their skills, which will definitely interest you if you're glamming up for get-togethers this festive season. You can click here to contact us if you're looking to book them and support our #AngelLove campaign to boost employment of creative artists in South Africa.
Working with these ladies at our photo shoot involved an early morning start, and a lot of make-up changes, time pressure and many different skin types and tones all lined up in no particular order. Both women were extremely professional, excellent communicators and swiftly got the job done, together with third stylist brand, HBK and our dedicated Hair Stylist, Letticia.
Kim-Lynne's childhood passion and lifelong artistic talent is certainly visible in the way she works, treating each face like a clean canvas. Braving the world of creative art as a career path wasn't easy for this boss lady but she's proven that when you do what you love, there is always room for you in the industry. As a mum, wife and totally driven artist, she balances all aspects of life effortlessly and is a dream to work with. Her skills extend beyond make-up, to hair styling as well as nail work, and we strongly encourage you to get your bookings in before it's too late - this kind of talent is not available at short notice! Click here to fill in a contact form with the date, time and type of event you want to book Kim-Lynne for.
Now, Bahiya on the other hand, is purely focused on make-up and for a damned good reason: she ROCKS at it! Bahiya caters for wedding make-up (full bridal party), matric ball packages and of course, anything related to the fashion scene. She's pleasant, professional and committed to perfection, as we learned through working with her in preparation for our fashion show earlier this year.
Bahiya met our model trainees and designers as part of our fashion show preparation, weeks before the fashion show, and worked with each one of them, and alongside her fellow fashion show stylists, to design looks to suit each fashion collection. Part of our CAFB 'Angel Experience' is to learn about the ins and outs of a fashion production, and practice working with all kinds of artists, from make-up and hair stylists, to photographers, video crew, directors and producers. This simulation is priceless, and with Bahiya's commitment and creativity, the process ran smoothly ahead of #CAFB2019. To view Bahiya's website and book her directly, click here.
