Catering can be tricky if you don't choose the right providers.
Catering convenience doesn't come easy. That's why we strongly recommend to Cape Town based event hosts that you consider the duo of The Slug & Lettuce Observatory, and Perana Set Design. Earlier this year we asked our Event Consultants at Perana Set Design to conduct several site visits to find the perfect venues for our fashion show and our VIP wind-down. The team came back to us, having negotiated fantastic rates at The River Club, and The Slug & Lettuce downstairs in the same building.
Ecstatic about the convenience of our VIPs simply slipping into the lounge downstairs, on their way down from the Congo Room, we leaped into the booking process via our consultants. What we weren't expecting was the five star service we got on show day. As our Angels gathered in the library of the warm venue, the scene appeared as if straight out of a fairytale. The comforting red walls and dark wooden bookshelves drew everyone in, to the plush couches that sank in, embracing us after the onslaught of more than five months' work having just concluded upstairs.
Our event team had designed a menu for us, like they do every year, working hand-in-hand with the franchisee owner, Bradley, who remained consistently focused on hosting our guests as if we were welcoming royalty over. Freshly squeezed fruit juices and hearty South African favourites greeted everyone from sparkling platters. The heavily laden service area offered up everything from fish and chips, chicken strips and samoosas to homemade milk tart pastries and the famous chocolate brownies. Needless to say that by the end of the evening, there wasn't much left over, and that's what we love to see.
In the spirit of supporting the growth of small South African businesses, which create fantastic employment opportunities for our local communities, we would like to encourage you to book your catering through Perana Set Design and the Slug & Lettuce Observatory. Perana Set Design is an event company, servicing clientele in Durban and Cape Town.
