Mrs Charles: SA Teacher on a mission!
A short while ago we introduced you to our first Special Guest for CAFB 2017. Today it brings us an overwhelming heartfelt joy to shine the spotlight on Mrs Nadia Charles: an Angel who is spreading her wings full-span all across Cape Town. Nadia is formally recognised as an educator at Sunnyside Primary School, but the roles she plays for her students, co-workers and the greater Cape Town communities extend far beyond that of planning classroom lessons and marking test papers.
Without giving too much away here, we can share that Nadia is one of our nation's most dedicated educators. Drawing her inspiration through her culture, personal experience and the hope she sees in each of her students, she has devoted most of 2017 to securing support from within the Western Cape community for various projects related to the school where she teaches, and the students who attend. Nadia's commitment to the future of South Africa is undoubtedly an example of what can be achieved when we believe in the saying that 'it takes a village to raise a child'.
In keeping with a long-standing tradition of the Creative Angels Fashion Benefit, this year our fashion show will be helping raise funds for the incredibly selfless cause that Nadia drives: to support the U11 soccer team who will be representing South Africa at the Phuket Cup. Every standard ticket purchased for CAFB 2017 will generate R20 for Sunnyside Primary School, and every VIP ticket will generate R50. If you would like to help make a difference to these young deserving learners, and excellent sportsmen in the making, please visit either our online store or the official Quicket event page to book your tickets now.
