Code of Conduct

This Code of Conduct serves as a behavioural guideline for all registered members of the Creative Angels Fashion Benefit (herein after referred to as ‘CAFB’), authorised representatives, selected suppliers, service providers and programme partners, contributors and facilitators with whom the brand associates with in the realm of public access and knowledge. A disciplinary code is provided as reference for the consequences of what is deemed to be unethical and unacceptable conduct.

General Conduct

  1. Arriving at any event under the influence of any substance not covered by a valid medical prescription will not be tolerated.

  2. Violence will not be tolerated between any registered members of the CAFB, authorised representatives, selected suppliers, service providers and programme partners, contributors and facilitators with whom the brand associates with in the realm of public access and knowledge. This includes but is not limited to grievous bodily harm, assault, aggression or verbal abuse.

  3. Stipulated start and end times of sessions may be flexed at the discretion of the Producer or Facilitator of each event. Such changes may be presented in written notice up to 48hrs prior to an event. Punctuality is of paramount importance and those arriving late will not be accommodated for during the break times for session facilitators. It is the sole responsibility of each responsible party for arriving on time and working to manage time effectively on site.

  4. All registered members of the CAFB, authorised representatives, selected suppliers, service providers and programme partners, contributors and facilitators with whom the brand associates with in the realm of public access and knowledge, must conduct themselves with courtesy and respect toward others at every opportunity, especially in circumstances during which one’s association with the CAFB is blatant.

  5. Registered members of the CAFB, authorised representatives, selected suppliers, service providers and programme partners, contributors and facilitators with whom the brand associates with in the realm of public access and knowledge are required to allow 48 hours for company staff to respond to queries and questions. There are upward of 15x the number of individual inbound requests than there are people with the capacity to attend to them and this needs to be considered at all times. Urgent matters are to be communicated to the relevant liaisons by telephone call.

  6. Gossip and/or mockery will not be tolerated in any form. We strive to create a judgement-free zone in which all participants can safely explore their creative talents and nurture these toward excellence. Constructive criticism and interactive guidance (mentorship) are welcome, however no negative comments will be tolerated, specifically remarks implying incompetence, weakness, ineptitude, differently abled impairments, prejudices due to race, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, ethnicity, religious or spiritual belief systems or any other personality trait.

  7. In line with all contractual agreements entered into with the CAFB, all registered members of the CAFB, authorised representatives, selected suppliers, service providers and programme partners, contributors and facilitators with whom the brand associates with in the realm of public access and knowledge, are considered the material property of the CAFB. This permits the CAFB to interpret any drunken debauchery, drunken misconduct, civil or criminal acts as a direct threat and attack upon the CAFB’s reputation and will be disciplined as such. While individuals are not restricted from engaging in various social activities, such as the consumption of alcohol, every person is expected to abide by the laws of The Republic of South Africa at all times and to conduct oneself with respect and dignity.

  8. Consumption of illicit and recreational narcotics will not be tolerated. All registered members of the CAFB, authorised representatives, selected suppliers, service providers and programme partners, contributors and facilitators with whom the brand associates with in the realm of public access and knowledge are to immediately report knowledge of breach of this clause to a senior representative of the CAFB and/or to local authorities. As such narcotics can be harmful to one’s health and heavily influence one’s behaviour, this may be interpreted as both a criminal act and a direct threat and/or attack to the CAFB’s reputation, vision and mission.

  9. All registered members of the CAFB, authorised representatives, selected suppliers, service providers and programme partners, contributors and facilitators with whom the brand associates with in the realm of public access and knowledge will be held accountable for his/her/their behaviour. Should any injury, mishap, loss, damage, or death occur, no party shall attack another party and all legal ramifications must be considered at such a time.

  10. During any event, for which a celebrity or high-profile individual is present, all registered members of the CAFB, authorised representatives, selected suppliers, service providers and programme partners, contributors and facilitators with whom the brand associates with in the realm of public access and knowledge are expected to conduct themselves with the utmost regard for such celebrity/high profile individual’s privacy and personal space. Questions are always permitted, by virtue of raising a hand and being invited to contribute to the session. No inappropriate physical contact may be made, and no request for personal contact details may be proposed without the express permission of the CAFB.

  11. Any suggestions, queries, questions, compliments or complaints are welcome to be forwarded to us through workshop feedback forms online (anonymous, and for workshop participants only), email, SMS, WhatsApp, telephone call or by post to our physical office address. The CAFB’s success is fully dependent on creating a personally rewarding and transformational experience for all registered members of the CAFB, authorised representatives, selected suppliers, service providers and programme partners, contributors and facilitators with whom the brand associates with in the realm of public access and knowledge, and if anyone believes strongly that we are moving in the wrong direction, we welcome opinions and suggestions.

  12. No refunds of any kind will be granted to registered members of the CAFB, authorised representatives, selected suppliers, service providers and programme partners, contributors and facilitators with whom the brand associates with in the realm of public access and knowledge, who are in breach of this code of conduct. All consequences for breach remain valid for the full term of every agreement and the CAFB fully reserves all rights to prioritise decisions made in the best interests of and toward maintaining the longevity of the CAFB, at all times.

  13. Fraternising with fellow Angels is permitted to the extent that personal interests should not impact the operation of the CAFB at any time. Should this occur, and depending on the form of impact, the disciplinary code shall be referred to.
